Slash is truly "Living the Dream" right now. The top-hatted one and his band The Conspirators have just released a new track called "My Antidote." The new album Living The Dream comes out this Friday.

I wanted to post something, just so I could stop the silence (which, when it comes to this band, speaks volumes)!

Slash and Lynch both suffer from the same problem: they haven't really improved upon the sound that made them famous, in the bands that made them famous. I think Lynch is actually more experimental in that regard. But still, both are legends who seem to have not found a true 'new' home where their talents would shine. Just my opinion.

At least Lynch has a cool name for his band as opposed to Cash with Mild Kennedy & The Respirators. I just gave their latest by-the-numbers cash grab, “Living the Dream” my usual test a couple of nights ago and I fell asleep. That didn’t happen with Priest’s “Flamethrower” or L.A. Guns’ “The Missing Peace”. What gives? I think you all know the answer.

SLASH can do whatever he wants. Why settle for a mediocre singer and a generic sounding band? You’ve got one of the coolest names in Rock & Roll ... SLASH! Capitalize it, chrome it and stand on your own two feet (thankfully, you’re much more capable of that now than back in the day when you were too wasted to consistently do so). The majority of your heroes have rolled like that ... Chuck Berry, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, SANTANA, Zappa, etc.

Cut the auto-pilot sh*t, SLASH! Make a real Rock & Roll solo album that actually ROCKS, not a sleeping aid.

And do something even more important — make what could be album of the year — a new Guns n’ Roses record!!!
