KISS Farewell Tour: Let's Discuss

It's been a few days since KISS announced their farewell tour. 1) I'll probably go and 2) I'm skeptical. Will Gene Simmons really walk away from the KISS touring cash cow? I mean, he's certainly rich and definitely retirement age, so anything is possible. But I just don't buy it. Maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?

I hope the guys can live up to their storied past. This is their 2nd or 3rd "final tour" if my memory serves me correct. They've already taken most of the shine off of their groundbreaking legacy. Let's hope they don't tarnish it to the point of a cancered out 1974 Chevy Vega sitting in a junkyard in El Segundo, all in the name of millions of $$ that none of them need....
As I’ve mentioned before, I saw KISS point blank (6th Row) two nights in a row at MSG in ‘96 where I had Ace served up to me on a silver platter via hydraulic lift both nights.
I’ll never forget him pointing at me with his black nail polished index finger pointing right in my face with every downstroke of a series of e-chords at the conclusion of a song, the name of which escapes me, hitting his Les Paul from above.
And now, get ready for this! ...
KISS will NEVER retire! They will actually do as they’ve talked about ... A la Blue Man Group, they will hire others to don the crazy KISS signature Kobuki make-up and continue the band’s legacy by performing all over the world for decades to come!
Sorry. I was free-forming there. KISS should retire. And so should Ace. Thank goodness that Peter has, more or (convention-) less.
