'Family Motto' And AC/DC

Last week I shared a snippet of the new AC/DC track "Shot In The Dark." Now Dodge is using the song in their new ad called "Family Motto." Yes, the ad is a throwback to Talladega Nights. My husband loves that ignorant movie so he thought this ad was fantastic! And good for AC/DC for making a ton of cash off new music already.

I asked Google what an ignorant movie is. Like it was some sort of new movie genre. Nope, Even the all mighty search engine didn't have an answer explaining that.

Classic comedy but not surprised Allyson doesn't like it. Im sure Sandler, Farrell, and the like are too low brow.

Great commercial! ... Can’t wait to hear “Shot In The Dark” when they officially release it Wednesday! ...

Sandler is now “high brow” legit after decades of Jerry Lewisesque mediocre goofball clown sh*t because he recently starred in the tour de force role of his career in “Uncut Gems”.

Ah, throwing stones at the creator. I get it. Easy shots. Lots of laughs. But you know what? You get that chance because you are given that chance. Just a bit of snark to add to the merriment.

Sandler was great in _Uncut Gems_. Claustrophobic movie. He is also good at goofball when there is a script in place. Ditto Farrell.

Bands cashing in on commercials? No reason to take a poke at that, right? That is as metal or rock or glam as Priest or Crue or any other band stretching out their brand when the lean times make it a necessity. Hell, not even the lean times. I tip my glass of Megadeth wine to all of you interlocutors. Amazing how loose a free forum makes us when it comes time to let digits fly!

Thanks again, Allyson, for spending time and energy giving us a place to vent. Imagine what we would do if you folded up shop and left us to our own devices? I shudder.
