Eddie Van Halen Remembered at Rock Hall Induction Ceremony
Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 03:04PM
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held last night. The program was aired on HBO, but I do not have that channel so I had to wait until today to see this special tribute for Eddie Van Halen. During the remembrance portion of the show, guitar legends Slash, Kirk Hammett and Tom Morello paid tribute to EVH. Morello even likened Van Halen to a modern day Mozart.
Van Halen was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2007. I would assume a special exhibition at the Hall is being planned for sometime in the near future.
The remembrance video for Eddie Van Halen is below.

But I am actually delighted that the RaRHoF is reduced to this. This should be their scope and shape going forward. Aside from the museum (and I see a video like this as a historically interesting thing as well), there is no need for the rest of what they peddle and put forth.
I love the format of the shows past ... They just need to get every act to show up and play together ...
Gotta love EVH (RIP) but that kinda sucked when the brothers left Hagar and Anthony swingin’ in the breeze at the podium the night the band was inducted.
The RaRHoF should run their museum and nothing more. Problem is, people donate stuff to that museum because they think the organization is credible. So I understand the pretzel logic upon which my argument is based.
