Scorpions Las Vegas Residency Postponed
Finally. Not sure what took this one so long, but the Scorpions have postponed their Las Vegas residency called "Sin City Nights." The shows were to begin July 4. New dates are coming soon.
As of this post, Las Vegas casinos and resorts are still closed because of COVID-19. Some casinos and resorts may reopen in June. My guess is capacity will be limited when the casinos do reopen, so do not expect a huge horde of people all at once. Expect to wear a mask, get your temperature checked and say goodbye to the famous buffets.
Things are starting to slowly reopen but that does not mean business as usual. We are in for a long slog of "new normal." Keep your patience and respect the health and rights of others.
Our Vegas Residency at @PHVegas is postponed, new dates to be announced soon. We want our fans & everybody involved to be safe during these uncertain times.

I remember when they headlined Rock n' America in 2010. I had a nearly front row vantage point when they were playing. Meine was certainly going backstage a lot. The rumor then was it was for a nice stiff shot . . . of oxygen. Who knows? Thankfully, he, Jabs, and Schenker are keeping the hat industry in business!!!
Concerts. Sigh. I remember those. But, like buffets, they are a memory right now. As our fearless leader (time to thank her again for this site) said: "Keep your patience and respect the health and rights of others." Things will get back to the old normal once we weather the new one.
Though it’s been awhile since I saw ‘em (headlining M3 in 2010), I’m gonna guesstimate, they still pretty much got it.
I was blown away by their performance that night, something which has been discussed ad infinitum (in a good way) on here by Allyson, Kari, Brian C., myself (the ad infinitum part) and others who were fortunate enough to witness that very memorable year as it also featured Cinderella, Jetboy and several other acts in fine form (right, Jeff?!) ...
Speaking of fine form, the Scorps were KILLER ... Klause Meine kept apologizing because he had the flu but I’ll be damned if I could tell because he was absolutely nailing the vocals and the band was firing on all pistons.
Unfortunately, they aren’t nailing it with this song ... Where is that signature Scorps power ballad crunch we’ve come to know and love over the decades? ... Let us hope they can make some heavy duty Rock & Roll in the here and now as they are wisely practicing shelter in place protocols.
I could see why some self righteous schluboes (even a few trolls on this site) don’t have enough self worth to take necessary precautions, but you know why they do ... It’s because they have actual talents and gifts to sustain in order to keep making their extraordinary music, including, hopefully, when they get the okay to go ahead with this residency!
If you live Rock and Roll and want to keep either making it or listening to it, protect yourself and all whom you come in contact with! (HIM! How should I write that last sentence? I think I’m grammatically challenged here — and elsewhere, obviously, haha!!)
How's this? "If you want to keep living and loving Rock n' Roll, you got to be safe and protect those around you." Not as punchy as your sentence. Same sentiment, though, I think. Have a good weekend, Sir.
