Tommy Lee just got some new face tattoos. I am not a tattoo person and I sure do not think they are a good idea on the face or neck. The new ink is of a Japanese phrase (no clue what it says) and then he also got some dots and music notes over his eye, too. Regular folks just cannot do this. Can you imagine going to a job interview with tattoos like this? It would be immediately disqualifying. Thinking of buying a new home? I bet most would shy away from a real estate agent with face tattoos. Need a surgeon? You will probably pick the woman who doesn't have giant words splashed across her neck, right?

This is judging a book by its cover for sure but perception in a lot of things matters. It is fine for Tommy to get as much ink as he wants. He is rich and famous and already covered in tats. He will never work a regular job or answer to anyone else. Regular folks do not have that luxury. My hunch is this new body art is part of Tommy's promotion for Andro. It is all about Instagram now I guess.

Dunno if you guys have seen it but there’s a very cool short film that’s part of a series, “What It Means To Be An Artist” or some sh*t and the one that features Lee makes him our to be a totally talented genius artist but, man ...
What’s up with the f*cked up tats, dude?! Maybe it’s because he’s been hangin’ with Post Malone who recently collaborate rated on a song with him titled “Tommy Lee”, in which Lee plays drums, I believe ...
But what that track should really be titled is:
“What An Idiot!”
Hahaha!!!, FUNNY Gary!
I will share something too. I have had tats since I was 16. The first one I got was--wait for it--horrible. You know what though? I own it. Ever since then, and with every tat I have, I have said to myself: "Are you willing to live with that forever?" Thing is, I am. I have some that memorialize people that have died. I have some that are deeply personal. I also have some that I got only once I reached a place, professionally, where I could get away with having them.
There were two times where my favorite tattoo artist asked: "Are you sure?!?!?" I said "yes." And, thing is, I am never going to cover them up or get them removed. If they are mistakes, they are my mistakes. Mistakes don't go away. But you can be better by learning from mistakes. Same, too, with tattoos.
Final thing (aside from that horrid first tattoo): make the decision carefully. And recognize that it is for life. When you do that, you make decisions with a bit more consideration. Thing is, that is also a lesson for life. Another life lesson? Tattoos fade and they blur. No matter how much attention you pay to them, they are a part of you and they change as you do. They chronicle time just as they are stamp in time, a moment, where you decided to make a mark.
Though I still get some looks when people see my tats, I am okay with that. And when they ask me about them, I am more than glad to explain them. The end result is people get a better sense of who I am.
But how to explain that Korn tramp stamp? I kid.
