TFW Pink Floyd Releases A New Video

Imagine my surprise when I got a push alert from YouTube this morning... that Pink Floyd uploaded a new video. Talk about an early morning double-take! The clip is really just official audio for "Scarecrow" from A Momentary Lapse of Reason Remixed & Updated.

If you're not aware, "Scarecrow" was released back in 1967. Putting that into perspective, my parents still had several years of high school left when the song was new!

Listen to 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason (Remixed & Updated)' here!

Some would argue Pink Floyd went downhill once their leader, Syd Barret departed.

Of course, we know better, with “Dark Side of The Moon” their pinnacle, along with other gems running close behind namely “Wish You Were Here”, “Animals”, “Meddle” and, ahem, “The Wall” … NOT!

i tend to agree with you, Metalboy!

But, different bands in different eras struggle to transition between them. Barrett was no doubt talented. He was also, esp. in his later days, a complete mess. And the music they created when he was around wasn't solely his doing either. Just saying.

The struggle between Mssrs. Gilmour and Waters resulted in fireworks. Highs and then lows, and then some highs. Acrimony as well. The Gilmour years were more, well, gentlemanly. They produced fewer highs and lows, but a good measure of good tunes to enjoy. Again, not all their doing in those years. But still . . .
