'Keep Slayin' Teens In The Dark'

I have a dark sense of humor I guess. Ever since I discovered The Merkins, I've been amused and mesmerized by their smart little videos where they change up popular songs into slasher anthems. Now they've taken on The Backstreet Boys and made a parody of "Quit Playing Games." In the video below, The Merkins become, of course, The Slashstreet Boys. Fine art folks.

The Pubic Wigs get a chuckle out of me. But the best part of this is, alas, the sample of Donald Pleasence at the start. He was the best thing about those first two movies (and a nice reference point in four, five, and Curse). I think that quote is from Curse.

And I give them credit where it is due. They know their art and do well by it. Small niche. More than small rewards? Maybe. Those Merkins got balls to pursue this niche. So I give them that as well (see what I did there?).
