'Story Of Love' -- Bon Jovi, New Video
Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 07:18PM
The situation in Texas continues to be a nightmare - I hope the residents get power and water restored sooner rather than later. That is to say nothing about the empty grocery store shelves. An absolute nightmare.
In my work news, I spent the entire day fighting with PowerPoint and Excel again. My eyes are shot! This did give me plenty of time to listen to Pink Floyd and Aerosmith, so that is positive. In glam news, Bon Jovi has a video out today for their track "Story of Love" from the album 2020.
Why does every Bon Jovi song/video these days seem like a solo effort?
The Story of Love music video is out now! Watch it and share it with your family and friends. https://t.co/qr3RGZ9pxo

Have a good friend living in TX who now, finally, has his power back up and running . . . after 35 hours!?!? Crap. That Texas Interconnection sure knows what they are doing. And ERCOT is impeccable in the service it provides to its customers. Biggest bonus? No one has to turn off the lights when the 'council' is done with meetings! Egads. Hope everything gets back to normal soon for those impacted.
Unfortunately, this isn't true. Bon Jovi is one of the best examples. This is no glam act anymore, it's soft rock at best. Nostalgia act, call it what you want.
Loved 'em back with Richie and saw some great shows by them in the 80's, 90's and even 00's. But I'd rather listen to a "best of" mixtape at this point (or watch old Youtube videos) then go see them or listen to this new music.
I will say, this new song is beautiful but I wouldn't want to see it played live.
I know that Alec Jon Such gets some flack for his lack of contribution to the studio, but if you think about it they really stopped being a rock band after he left... things that make you go "Hmmm"
Don't get me wrong. They were/are popular. They made millions. Jon's a good guy with how he handles charity and helping others. But the striving to succeed strikes me, and perhaps I am wrong, as a need to make money. Nothing wrong with making money. Hell, Maiden does it. So, too, AC/DC. And I hesitate to say this, but I will: there is something that seems 'inauthentic' about Bon Jovi. I will stop before I go too far. But . . .
