'Set Fire to the Rain' -- No Resolve Cover

A band called No Resolve recently covered the Adele mega hit "Set Fire to the Rain."

No Resolve has been around for a few years and were signed in 2020. Eric heard this cover while listening to Octane and texted me about it. He thinks it is pretty good and wanted me to share it here to get your opinions. No Resolve is a modern rock band - not glam - hence the Octane love. Let me know your thoughts on them and this cover:

Allyson, I have very little knowledge of Adele and certainly no previous experience with No Resolve. My appreciation of this site is so great that I went and listened to the original first and then this cover.

Well, hmm. Adele certainly can sing. She is really good. Just not my thing. These happening cats? Again, hmm. It sounds as if Linkin Park was chasing the almost-adult contemporary charts (distorted vocals, tinkling keys, etc.). At the minute mark, you could see them doing the wind-up, and then . . . and then? Hmm (again). But they have fire in the video. I give them credit for that.

I'd do a flaming mic drop (sounds like something on Urban Dictionary). But those guys beat me to it!

They seem like competent lads. I hope their fans like this. And I give the singer props for not flat-brimming it (besides, that would totally ruin the quiet, introspective, tone of the song at the 3:00 minute mark). Again, that tinkling.
