1. A “great seat”!! (Reserved or ga where applicable)
2. SKID ROW SOUNDCHECK EXPERIENCE!! (Listen to Scotti tune his guitar while Snake vomits stage left)
3.A GROUP PHOTO FROM THE BARRICADE!! (While standing in said “snake juice” with 8 or 9 other lucky folks)
4.SIGNED POSTER! (Ignore the ZP Threat signature. It’s how the new guy signs his name)
5.OFFICIAL VIP MERCH ITEM (see “snake juice” above)
6. LAMINATE AND LANYARD (Copies of Snakes Mastercard. Hint. He owes a lot more than the price of this VIP package should you feel benevolent)
7. The chance to buy more overpriced MERCH before everyone else!
But Guess Who (I am gonna call him Garry Peterson) is on to something with his acid-tongued sarcasm explosion. Who would pay for any of that given the current state of SR? To be more pointed, at least Buckcherry has a front man that actually fits the band (then again, he is one of the founders).
Has Todd's output in recent years been excellent? Not really. Is he fun to watch? Hell yes. And I am sure that SR is fun for some to watch these days too. But, output? Tiny Tim singing (he ditched the hat)? A return to form, as some say? No way. No how.
This would be a $20 dollar show for me. And I would be tempted to leave right after "Slave to the Grind" played. I can only put up with so much of jangles jumping around (and that is just in videos).
Oh, by the way Garry, I'll bite: who?
Respectfully, Jeff, to call this a '100% return to form' is to suggest you are unfamiliar with how percentages works. Better than some of their recent stuff? Sure. But thinking Bach is an arse-hat (he is) and then using some magic to turn that into SR being right back where they were is just silly. Thing is, some (two?) members of SR are also arse-hats. Bigger ones than Bach? Probably not. But still. And his 'two singers ago' joke was actually funny, not just a jab.
Crued, that is twice as much as I said I would pay . . . and I wouldn't go to this show twice! But you are right as rain: Steel Panther. I plan to be there. Working right now to make that happen. And there is something to be said about going to see SP and a metal-parody Bee Gees cover band over SR. What is being said? Jeff? You tell me. Am I an arse-hat too? Damn. I knew it!
I was gonna make an Icona Pop cover song joke. But I know Allyson's mom might be reading this.
