Ozzy Is Sick Of Mass Shootings (Like The Rest Of Us)
Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 02:01PM
Ozzy Osbourne is British and wants to return "home" for the "end of his life." Hopefully the Prince of Darkness doesn't leave us anytime soon, but he does have his share of chronic health problems. Regardless, he is surely accurate in his view of America's crazy mass shootings. No matter his age and health issues, Ozzy also says he feels he's got another tour in him. More power to him and I hope he's right!

There is a good enough reason to leave I think?
Now that is out of the way - I can not see Ozzy ever touring again. And if he does, what will the quality of his performance be? He was clearly miming at the Commonwealth games a couple of weeks back.
All of that being said, I love Ozzy. He deserves to enjoy his twilight years in whatever manner makes him happy.
Ozzy is 73. He has lived a life. A LIFE. But he is at the tail end of whatever it is that these recent years have suggested. As many of you know, I have less and less to say about him that is kind. But he is certainly entitled to end his life and career as he sees fit and where he feels comfy. His reasons for leaving the US? Who cares? It is click bait. But it is also news that keeps him in the news. His minders (and he does have a precious one) are sure that he is in the news.
As to lip-syncing at the Commonwealth Games? Well, there is at least one point where he tries to ad-lib something and there is nothing coming out of the microphone. Nothing, But then the vocals come back, clear as crystal. Then again, who cares?
I called this 'Twilight of the Gods' several years ago. Is there another stage before it all goes dark? If you were a killer of giants and then you let loose a shot in the dark, but no one was there to see it, what then? You try. And then, eventually, you can't. And you don't. It might be, to borrow from one his touring partners (in 1981, an eon ago), better to burn out than fade away. But that isn't always the way things work out.
Cashing in on a decision so principled? Not the Osbornes!
