David Lee Roth - 'The Shit That Killed Elvis'

New David Lee Roth music! More than a decade ago, Roth recorded songs for a solo album that was never released. One of those songs was "The Shit That Killed Elvis" and it was just posted this morning! The guitars are provided by John 5. Maybe we'll get that full album someday.

while some of john 5’s work is amazing, i hear why this should have remained unreleased.

The riff reminds me of an acoustic take on "Hangin' Around" by the Edgar Winter group. It's on "They Only Come Out at Night" which is the record that Ronnie Montrose played on.
