The Biggest Story In Music Right Now: New Beatles Music
Next week, the last new Beatles song will be released. It's called "Now and Then." The song is from unreleased demos written by John Lennon. The song even features George Harrison.
Harrison, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney worked on the song together in the 90s, but did not have the ability to get a clean cut of Lennon's voice.
Thanks to A.I., Lennon's vocals were finally cleanly isolated from the piano work. This, coupled with the work in the 90s, means a new Beatles track with all four members - even two that are long deceased - is coming.
Paul McCartney told the Associated Press that "Now and Then" is the last new track to ever feature all four Beatles.
Just think of the possibilities this brings - you just know there are tons of unused clips of Eddie Van Halen playing guitar. There are probably clips and musings from Randy Rhoads on his guitar, too. What about vocals from Glenn Frey, Prince or Michael Jackson?
While I think a lot of A.I. will bring about negatives - some positives will definitely come along too. Hearing unearthed music is definitely one of those positives.
