Motley Crue After - NFL Draft Concert Videos

Motley Crue played a concert yesterday to close out the second night of the NFL Draft. The free show was streamed live online for folks not at the Draft to enjoy. The gig was supposed to start at 11 p.m. - I waited until 11:40 p.m. and then gave up.

I checked out a few of the clips online this morning. It's hard to tell what the band really sounded like because of crowd noise and folks singing along.

The online feed was a joke! it started late and the first part of the show with the video screens and "Wild Side" had no audio. once that was fixed I enjoyed it. Vince actually sounded pretty good and Nikki played his bass. I was watching like a hawk. John 5 does look a little stiff but so did Mars. ;)

Crued, well executed joke there! Had me chuckling.

And I have seem Joan 6 numerous times. Love the guy's playing. But he always looks stilted. I would say that he has mastered the art of head-swinging, but not, alas, the skill of head-banging! He looks like a slightly constipated old guy, holding his gun, while watching his intended targets (weevils? groundhogs? agitated rabbits?) do wind-sprints in front of him.

. .. with the rest sounding like it came out of a tiny transistor radio you managed to steal when traveling in your time machine. That said, Neil was attempting some operatic moments in "Live Wire." Knock 'em dead kid. Knock 'em dead!

Now Knock 'em dead kid is a song that should be an absolute staple. Been a while since they broke it out though.
