ShipRocked 2024 Bands Announced

I'm a big fan of I Prevail, so this festival announcement caught my eye. The band, along with Beartooth, Killswitch Engage, Dorothy and so many more are scheduled to perform. The cruise is already sold out but there is a waitlist and spots will surely open up.

I sorta' kinda' know a few of these bands. But not many.

I feel old, and that is on me, given that this announcement once again suggests that my, ahem, ship has passed on adventures such as these.

I suspect I would be playing shuffleboard on the side deck with Morty and his pals (assuming we all accidentally signed up for the wait list on a sold-out cruise . . . good for them!).

I just want to take a minute to point out a really good band near the bottom of the bill. I saw The Warning open for Halestorm (great band!) last summer. What energy from these three sisters from Mexico! Especially from drummer, Pau. She and her sisters are so much fun to watch and hear. Check out some live videos of them on YouTube. Here's a good one.

Eddie, you are correct. Just saw them in SF with Holy Wars and Plush. Excellent band. Very strong live show. Watching the drummer and guitarist trade singing duties was a treat.

But I thought Plush were a touch better. Singer has pipes. And they did covers of "Heaven's On Fire" and "Barracuda"!

All in all, though, a great evening of female-focused rock. And at The Fillmore, no less! Well, sorta' less, as it is now basically a brand of Live Nation.
