Tigertailz, 'You Can't Stop The Rock'

To celebrate the band's 40th anniversary, Tigertailz is back with a new song and video! You can watch and listen to "You Can't Stop The Rock" below. Oh yeah... it's definitely glam throwback!

Tigertailz last recorded new music in 2016. The band will release a greatest hits compilation later this year and will also tour with Steel Panther on some Europe dates this month.

40 years? Honestly, I've never heard of this band

@Jeff - Tigertailz were the UK's answer to Poison, where they became quite popular, but never made any waves in North America. The only North American press I ever noticed of theirs back in the day was an ad for guitar strings featuring 2 of the members (if you can even call that press).

Their first album "Young and Crazy" is quite good, a glam metal classic for those fortunate enough to be aware.

After their first album and tour the singer Steevi Jaymz left, and they released their second album "Bezerk" which featured bigger choruses, slick production and a much screechier vocalist in Kim Hooker. Check out the single "Love Bomb Baby" and tell me you won't be singing that chorus for the rest of your week.

With the musical landscape changes in the early '90s they stuck to the glam sound somewhat, but added industrial elements, before breaking up.

Many reunions, rotating band members later, and the untimely death of their bass player / visual artist Pepsi Tate; here we are with the lone OG member Jay Pepper (guitar) continuing to use the name and release music.

Tigertailz' output has been spotty since Bezerk, however those 2 albums are definitely worth seeking out if you are into late '80s glam / pop / hair metal.
