So Just Who Would Tour With Motley Crue Next?

Apparently, Motley Crue will stay on the road and do another stadium tour next summer. The announcement came from a recent Vince Neil interview. The Motley singer concedes he doesn't know who else will be joining them on the road yet, so I thought it would be fun to kind of ponder. Take out Def Leppard (and presumably Poison, Joan Jett, Europe and Alice Cooper) since they've all done stints with Motley already on this package.

Do we think Bon Jovi is a possibility? Ozzy can't tour anymore. David Coverdale and Whitesnake are just about done. KISS is done (well, almost). Queen + Adam Lambert won't do a long tour and they would never do a trade-off headline thing. Ditto for AC/DC. Aerosmith will be on their own farewell tour. Guns n' Roses has been out on the road a lot already. A Skid Row reunion with Sebastian Bach would make tons of sense, but those guys don't want to reunite. Maybe Mammoth WVH? Greta Van Fleet? Sammy Hagar and/or Chickenfoot?

What sorts of bands can you think of that make sense for another Motley Crue summer tour?

Ok, so obviously this isn’t gonna be realistic because a couple of these bands may not be big enough, or may have beef lol, but I’m gonna say WASP, Godsmack, or GNR. Again, none of those three will ever happen but I think it’d be a great bill! Whitesnake wouldn’t be bad either but again, doubtful. Unfortunately they’re a lot like Metallica in that they won’t ever tour with the smaller, classic bands that are in the exact same genre, unless they’re absolutely huge enough.

It was cool when Crüe and Poison toured with the New York Dolls in (what was it?) 2010? … Both said it was in honor of one of both bands’ main influences.

Why not tour with a re-united Sex Pistols? … After all, they did cover “Anarchy In The U.K. and all if the original members of The Pistols are still alive (Sid Vicious was not an original member) … Of course, they would still need to fill out the bill … Why not add Green Day and Offspring?

If all this sounds a little far fetched, they could just join up with Metallica and G’n’R and call it a day but Metallica’s previous commitments probably prohibit that from happening.

I dunno, I give up … who do they get? …

I got it! … Go with the newer European bands who absolutely worship the ground Crüe walks on …

Crüe
Black Veil Brides
Crash Diet (I forget where the umlots go)
Reckless Love

Just think what it would do for all those great bands’ exposure?

In the end, however … Reality sets in and what I would anticipate would be the promoters lack of faith that under card would draw …

All in all, you pose a very good question, Allyson!

Who should join them? … I’m all ears!

Priest? ...as in, JUDAS?

We both know well and good that the only thing that closeted homo did well, was Johnny B. Goode.
