Guns n' Roses Release New Track In Typical Guns n' Roses Fashion

Not a peep on the band's official social media regarding the drop of "Perhaps," a new track from Guns n' Roses. Instead, GnR released the song to Audacy radio stations. Then the song was put on YouTube - and naturally - removed. Now "Perhaps" is appearing on official streaming sites by time zone - with Australia currently having access as of noon ET on 17 August. Totally bizarre and totally on brand for Guns n' Roses.

So would you like to hear "Perhaps?" The song isn't exactly new. It is from the Chinese Democracy era and you can tell immediately by listening to the piano bits. No, this isn't Appetite For Destruction worthy, folks!

It is what it is ... an unreleased Chinese Democracy B-side. Elf did the pseudo-boogie woogie piano band far better.

Horrible. Utterly turd worthy. If it was indeed a throw away left over from Chinese Democracy, that tells me all I need to know about it. This band is capable of much better imo, even today. I hope they prove me right at some point! Unbelievable live though. 🤘🏼

Agree with both of you. This is a left-over packaged as a new song. Bummer. I was expecting more. Then again, I actually enjoyed the reworked song that was "Absurd." And I enjoyed it live too!

I really wish they stopped coasting and started rocking (in the studio, as they are doing a good enough job live these days, and have been for awhile). And I suspect the coasting isn't solely about Axl these days. At least one other of the classic members seems more than happy to cash checks and make payments, and more payment, to a certain ex. You reap what you sow, right?
