An OzzFest Return?

If OzzFest comes back as a moving festival again, will you attend? Sharon Osbourne says it is possible. Cash grab or part of Ozzy Osbourne's legacy? It’s hard to decide.

I don't know if it's fair to use "cash grab" (not singling you out Allyson, all of the sites are using the same lingo). Sharon may deserve the many arrows slung her way, but something like this would not be a massive income stream. It would be profitable, but not an insane amount.

The bigger subject here is Osbournes have a podcast, and this discussion is a great way for them to gain awareness, followers, likes, etc. Sharon is no dummy.

Would Ozzfest do well in 2024? I know there are a lot of kids out there loving YK2 nostalgia who would love to brag they had been to an Ozzfest. But I wouldn't see a modern Ozzfest staging a nu-metal revival or anything like that; they were always about breaking bands.

Ozzfest happened because there was zero mainstream support for Heavy music in North America during the '90s; and that's also why it worked, they were filling a void.

It really became a centerpiece of Heavy Metal culture and helped revive the genre from the clutches of the dreaded "Alternative Nation".

If they were to actually try reviving this, it would have to be without Ozzy, and that would be weird.
