New Friday Music - October 4, 2024

Lots of new music today. Motley Crue's new EP called Cancelled is out today. It features the song of the same name, plus "Dogs of War" and The Beastie Boys cover, "Fight For Your Right." Today is the first day the song "Cancelled" has been available. To me, it has serious Saints of Los Angeles vibes.

Also out today is new Richie Sambora music. The single is called "We'll Get By" and features drummer Abe Laboriel Jr.

Finally, D-A-D has a new album out today called Speed of Darkness. Hopefully there is something here for you to enjoy! Happy Friday!

Love the new song, Canceled. Not as big a fan of the others, but DOW was much better live! 🤘🏼

I'm gonna leave the MC love to our resident fan, Bkallday. Enjoy the music.

That said, I am glad that Disneyland After Dark is still releasing music. Their previous release, a greatest hits album, was a nice reminder of just how diverse their output has been over the years. Great band.

Whether you wake up (wake up), stand up (stand up), or even shut up (shut up . . . a request I often get), have a good weekend, everyone. And if you put your hands up again the madre-intercourse wall, make sure you cleaned them first. No one likes smudges on their walls.

Thumbs up on “Cancelled”, both the song AND the EP.

Thumbs down on Sambora … Man, that is some boring sh*t … He coulda used AI for something more original sounding than THAT!

Thumbs up on D-A-D! … One of my fave bands who never cease to surprise!

Thanks for the honesty, MB. Some ppl are so jaded that they booted Corabi’s ass, that they vowed long ago to never like another Crüe song, no matter what! But Mötley has always relied on the haters & they always will! 🤘🏼

Edit: "against," not "again." Geesh.

You have the right of way, Bkallday. Shine on, you crazy diamond. If gatekeeping were a science, you would be one of the best scientists on the planet!!! We are lucky to have you defending the fort, scanning the horizon for threats both real and (more likely) imagined. One quick question though: when you throw a punch at someone who isn't there, do you end up hugging yourself? Asking for a jaded friend. I kid. Truly. Always hope you are doing well.

And glad to see, Metalboy!, that you and I share a love of DAD. Great band that just never broke big here, in spite of their tasty first single still being an earworm!!!

Hope everyone has a restful Sunday and a good start to the next week.

Uh oh someone got their feelings hurt. 😧

Funniest thing is I didn’t even mention his name in my post. Oh well, haters gonna hate! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Please tell us again about that magical letter, such a riveting tale!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Bkallday, we agree on DAD too. That's something. I'll take it.

And, rather than responding in kind (which, many times isn't) and lighting it up once again, I will simply say: I appreciate your passion and your posts. And I hope you are doing great.

Now I am going to bow out again for a spell (I posed my "I miss Ace" post before I read this one). I tested the waters to see if they were different. They really aren't. So, I am going to read rather than write. And I will do it, as I mostly do, every day.

But I had a great time. And I appreciate every post on this site. No less, I appreciate Allyson for keeping this going. Thank you, Allyson.

Him out.
