'Ah! Leah!' - New Ellefson Cover

Ellefson, the band fronted by Dave Ellefson just released a cover of "Ah! Leah!" featuring Chip Z'Nuff and Stephen Shareaux. It is an interesting - and smart - pairing for Ellefson to team up with the Enuff Z'Nuff and Kik Tracee vocalists.

"Ah! Leah!" was originally recorded by Donnie Iris.

Ugh, sorry this doesn't pass muster. The original version by Iris was more edgy. This sounds like what you would hear sitting in a coffee shop. Hard pass

Okay, so this is one of my favorite songs of all time, and, though I don’t think it’s as bad as Jeff claims (you must be thinking of a Nü Metal coffee shop that might be in The Valley or somewhere) but you’re certainly right as far as the singing goes.

Genius Donnie Iris’ vocals are so much stronger and full throated (should I say, so much b*llsier?!), these just don’t compare.

However, they’re passable with the background vocals (I can hear Z’nuff in there).

But the heavied up guitars are certainly amusing and Ellefson should be commended for even attempting this!
