Sebastian Bach, 'Freedom' -- New Video

Let's talk about the Sebastian Bach video for "Freedom." The song is on his new album Child Within the Man. The song is killer and the video is both awesome and hilarious. Yes, Eddie Trunk makes an appearance and he really does a great job.

For Bach, the video looks a little at the macabre side of things and it is one of the best rock clips I've seen in awhile. This was not a cheap video. Bach is killing it these days so good for him and lucky for us.

Bach has been killing it ever since he split from Skid Row! Them, not so much! And no, I don’t think they sound right with Hale. & I love Halestorm, btw. I’ve listened to them since their very first release, which still rocks.

Awesome! I especially loved the lyrics:

Freedom, we're gonna ring the bell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom, raise your fist and yell
Freedom to rock, freedom to talk
Freedom-ring

Oh wait. Wrong song. Wrong band. Sorry about that!

Yeah, the song rocks hard enough. And, yeah, Trunk plays to type (and I think he knows that, even with the outdated throwaway cowbell line they likely drip-fed him). And is that a Gorilla with John 5 in his pants, or is Bach just happy to see us? Tip your waitress.

Bach has been doing that thing again. Gently approaching the hint of the idea that the possibility of a potential reunion with SR is perhaps a thing that might be if it could happen in the future. I think Bach must have a corner on the Sicilian olive branch market! At the same time, he has primarily ownership in the company that sells to the most matchbooks (are those still a thing?).

Thing is, things are pretty much the same. Bach occasionally, and sometimes in sequence, rises to the occasion. SR pretty much do what the two or three (no, two) interested parties want, with mixed (nuts!) results. And none of them are playing the same venues, or making the same news (or the same scratch), as in the grand ole days of yesteryear.

Nor . . . will . . . they . . . ever. But, again, for the fans? What a treat. For them? Probably not so much.

But just imagine it! Affuso and Cooper. Bach and Kane Roberts. Bolan and Strauss. Oh no! I am doing it again. I am mixing bands, and eras, and members.

Fletch, remind me: which ones and what dosages? I need to get back out of here, folks.

Seriously, though, I hope you are all doing well. Keep posting and loving this site!!!

Edit: "At the same time, he primarily has ownership in the company that sells the most matchbooks (are those still a thing?)."

It's never easy when your editor is you. Or Him, as the case may be.

Hope everyone has a good (and respectful) holiday weekend.
