A Goofy 'Horror-Style' Cover For Summer

So this is unexpected: I never thought I'd see Ice Nine Kills collaborate with Reel Big Fish, but here we are. The two bands just released their version of "Walking On Sunshine," originally recorded in 1983 by Katrina and the Waves.

The track is just something fun the bands did for summer and it gives Ice Nine Kills a "new" song for their current tour with Metallica.

It's a pretty great cover, honestly. It made me giggle. You gotta find the irony in dudes covered in blood, singing about summer happiness. If you can't, you're taking yourself (and music) too seriously.

Killarious … But they could probably have done without the horns.

Nevertheless, I will add it to my “Metal Covers” playlist, now pushing nearly 24 hours long … It seems doing covers has always been a thing but now it seems it REALLY has!
