Meanwhile, 'Toys In The Attic' Turns 50

On this date 50 years ago, Aerosmith released their brilliant Toys In The Attic album. I can't believe the album is 50 but I also can't imagine classic rock radio without "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way" in regular rotation since my high school days.

Also, don't sleep on "Round and Round." One of my very favorite Aerosmith tracks!

Masterpiece. No More No More is the best song they’ve ever written IMO.

Agreed, HIM’s Tent Repairman!

Though, “Sick As A Dog” off “ROCKS” is my personal favorite!

I’ve posted about Allyson’s fave track, “Round and Round”, here before …

I contend it doesn’t get any more Metal than that song, in case people thought Aerosmith were just a Rock & Roll band.

There was an article in Time Magazine about Aerosmith in 1975, citing their record for loudest band to ever play the Pontiac Silverdome and, at the time, the loudest decibel level ever for an American Rock concert, which was documented when they played “Round and Round” there that year!

Of course, it wouldn’t surprise me if that record has since been broken but still, at the time, it shows just how bad*ss they were!
