Aerosmith To Be An April 'Peloton Featured Artist'

Let me first say I don't own any Peloton equipment. I do have a complete home gym, but I only buy what I know and that means Life Fitness and Pro Form. At any rate, you can get the Peloton app for exercises and programs without owning their bikes and treads and apparently they have a featured artist series. Well Aerosmith will be featured on April 11. I would definitely be interested in an Aerosmith run and the yoga. Really, how does one do yoga to Aerosmith?

  • 30 min. Aerosmith Ride – Bradley Rose – 4/11/24 @ 1:00pm ET
  • 20 min. Aerosmith Int. Full Body Strength – Andy Speer – 4/11/24 @ 6:00pm ET
  • 30 min. Aerosmith Yoga Flow – Mariana Fernández – 4/11/24 @ 6:30pm ET
  • 30 min. Aerosmith Run – Rebecca Kennedy – 4/11/24 @ 7:00pm ET

Anyway, happy Friday and happy fitness!

Aerosmith Announces 'Get Your Wings' Special Vinyl

Shut up and take my money! Aerosmith just announced a special 50th anniversary edition of "Get Your Wings." The 180-gram gold vinyl comes out May 17 but is available for pre-order now. The album is $46 and there are also packages that come with shirts and other items.

Also, it seems there is some movement on rescheduling Aerosmith tour dates. Some ticketholders are reporting date changes inside the Ticketmaster app. I haven't noticed any change to my Cincinnati show - but I am keeping a close eye! At some point I would like to get my $600 worth... or a refund. I prefer seeing the band live!

51 Years Of 'Aerosmith'

My beloved self-titled Aerosmith debut is 51 today. I was supposed to see Aerosmith live last night, but we all know the tour is on hold. It is hard to convey how important this album is to me, but I've loved it since I discovered it so many years ago. I was probably in 7th grade at the time and the band just spoke to me - and that has never changed. "Dream On" is perfection, after all.

Aerosmith Tour In Summer 2024?

Aerosmith's final tour is on pause because of Steven Tyler's throat issues. Now, guitarist Joe Perry has shared some news with the Boston Globe. Apparently, Perry is hopeful Aerosmith will be able to resume their tour sometime in the summer or early fall of 2024. That is a *long* time from now.

I have tickets for the originally scheduled show in Cincinnati on January 4. Refunds were offered, but I decided to just keep my tickets for when the show is eventually rescheduled. If it is ultimately canceled, I will get my money back anyway. I do hope Aerosmith finish their tour and have a proper goodbye. The members of the band are not getting any younger!

Steven Tyler Continues Throat Recovery

Steven Tyler posted a short update on his throat recovery from a broken larynx... but still no official information on Aerosmith's postponed tour and if/when it will resume. I do know some folks are getting refund emails from Ticketmaster depending on when their shows were originally scheduled. I have tickets for a show in early January and have not received a refund email yet. So time will tell I guess.

The Best Aerosmith Covers Of All Time: Babylon A.D.

In 1999, Babylon A.D. released Live In Your Face, featuring cover songs from famous bands. One of the tracks on the album is "Rats In The Cellar" by Aerosmith. It's kind of crazy how much singer Derek Davis sounds like Steven Tyler at times on this performance.

"Rats In The Cellar" is on the Aerosmith album Rocks. I definitely wanted to include a cover on my best-of highlights because it is one of my favorite Aerosmith tracks. I love talking about the obscure and I think Babylon A.D. Live In Your Face is definitely on the unknown side of things.

The Best Aerosmith Covers Of All Time: Testament

Thrash legends Testament covered my favorite Aerosmith song “Nobody’s Fault” on their 1988 album The New Order. It is considered the band’s breakthrough release.

Testament released an official video for “Nobody’s Fault” and it was played in heavy rotation on MTVs Headbanger’s Ball.

The entirety of The New Order is about social and personal struggles, so “Nobody’s Fault” fits right in. The album is heavy as hell but has plenty of melodic moments too. There’s a reason why The New Order is a thrash-metal classic. Of course, I think the guitar work on the original is better - but not many folks can out-perform Aerosmith's Brad Whitford. On the track, he plays both the rhythm and lead guitar parts. He is a genius, after all.
