Steely Dan - Metal Style?

Behold this track from Midnight Prowlers. It is called "Roar Into the Era of 80s Hair Metal" (I think that is the title anyway). The song is completely AI. The video is completely AI. The band of Lions, of course, is completely AI.
Sadly I have to admit the track is catchy but you can tell it is computer generated. The song was created by Lofi Living on YouTube. The account specializes in 80s nostalgia.
I appreciate the effort and creativity. They sucked me in with the big cats. But what happens when all music is computer generated? Will kids even learn to play guitars in the future? Can we only trust old music to be the "real thing?"
Thoughts to ponder I guess.

Tesla's video for "Love Song" has officially reached the 100 million views mark. I can't help but wonder how many times the clip was watched before YouTube was a thing? I mean, I probably saw the clip at least 100 times on MTV just myself.
These download and view metrics are an interesting way to track engagement and popularity - and certainly more accurate than just TV airings. Congrats to Tesla on the big accomplishment.
More than 17,000 acres of area around southern California - including Pacific Palisades and Hollywood - is now burned from massive wildfires. Total losses are already estimated to be more than $50 billion and the fires are not yet contained. To give you context, as of this posting, there is a 40 acre fire burning around the Hollywood sign. There are five fires currently burning: Hurst, Lidia, Eaton, Palisades and Sunset. Yes, that last one is named for Sunset Blvd. A mix of extreme drought, hurricane-like Santa Ana winds, fire department budget cuts, climate change denial and building in dangerous areas has all contributed to this mess.
I was watching live news coverage last night and it was pretty surreal seeing reporters wearing fire suits and standing on the Sunset Strip and pointing out landmarks like the walk of fame and the famous rock clubs we all love. I hope all the fires are contained as fast as possible - and that there is no more loss of life. Already, so many families are homeless and it going to takes years and years to rebuild, especially in the Palisades area. If you can spare a few dollars to help, Red Cross is taking donations.
Becoming Led Zeppelin hits American theaters February 7.
It is directed by Bernard MacMahon and I can't wait. I got served up a targeted ad by Sony Pictures with some new trailer clips. The film has never-before-seen footage and that is what I am most excited about. This is a must-see for me.
