Dokken is Playing Rocklahoma

Dokken was just added to the Thursday night Rocklahoma line-up (this is not yet announced by festival management, but the band has added the date to their Myspace calendar). Color me unsurprised. I called this one as soon as Sebastian Bach was added. Remember, Poison, Bach and Dokken are touring together this summer. It is much easier to keep bands on the same routing - so it was just a matter of time before we got the Dokken announcement. The kicker here is that Thursday is probably the best day of the festival - and it is only open to those with V.I.P. tickets! If I was jaded, I would say putting all the Glam bands on the preview party day is a way to make money and sell more tickets. Since I'm not jaded, I'll just smile and be grateful for Dokken. If the Rocklahoma promoters really want to make people happy (and sell some tickets) they'll just add Poison instead of Bret Michaels solo. Remember the golden rule of business: you have to spend money to make money.

Here are some clips of Dokken performing at Rocklahoma 2007. Ah, the memories.

Here's "In My Dreams."

Here's "Alone Again."

thursday is the only good day but it doesn't matter for me. not only can i not spend the money for a 3 day ticket i can't go to all of the days anyway. too bad i can't get a ticket for just thursday. if this is their genius marketing plan it didn't work in my case. hope everyone else can enjoy it.

I'm glad they're back they rocked last year!

I thought I read somewhere that the band Fatel Smile from Sweden was also on the bill with Poison, Dokken, and Bach, I saw them open for W.A.S.P. and they are PERFECT for Rocklahoma. I would love to see them play again those guys are great!!

I think the "jaded" you has a very valid point. They'd better beef up Sunday though. Tesla alone cannot carry the whole day.

The rocklahoma site states that the Thursday night show is open to those who have either VIP or 3 day festival tickets. I guess we will just have to rock out together!

WHO CARES THAT DOKKEN WILL BE PERFORMING ALLYSON BECAUSE I'VE SEEN DOKKEN SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME DON PERFORMED LIKE A CORPSE ON STAGE. I GOT TO SEE THEM TOUR WITH LOVERBOY IN SUPPORT OF UNDER LOCK&KEY. I REALLY WANTED TO HEAR IN MY DREAMS, AND DON BUTCHERED THE SONG TO SAY THE LEAST. FROM HIS LAME ASS I DON'T GIVE A SHIT TO BE HEAR INTRO OF THE SONG TO THE LAST WORD HE SANG HALF ASSEDLY SUCKED THEN AND STILL DOES TODAY.

I HAD TO ENDURE SEEING LOVERBOY ONLY TO GET A PATHETIC PERFORMANCE FROM DON LIKE THAT. I LOVE THE REST OF THE ORIGINAL LINE UP, AND I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE THAT PAYS A PENNY TO SEE DOKKEN IN CONCERT
