Since I Follow Adam Lambert With Bated Breath...

Tonight on American Idol Adam Lambert performed his version of "Born to Be Wild." As per usual, my lovely Adam proves once again the biggest singing competition in the world is his to lose. Watch and love.

I think this guy stands a chance of being this generation's Rob Halford. If only he joins a band that gives him good material to sing.

i dont know why you like this guy. he looks emo and his voice is annoying its too high pitched and not in a cool way like Axl Rose or Vince Neil.

Adam Lambert is the real deal. His vocals are above reproach! Physically = Elvis does Emo, agree with Christian re: Rob Halford comparison .. I'd love to see Adam sing "i remember you" .. "livewire" .. He can sing anything!

Part of me doesn't want him to win Idol as I don't want him caught up in the Idol machine .. he is a truer artist ..

Love Adam, can do no wrong , still fawn over his Ring of Fire performance

I think he'll win the competition, but last night's performance was a bit too theatrical for my liking. Still, I loved the Rob Halford take on the song. My wife thought he sounded a bit like Mark Slaughter at times.

I loved his version of "Mad World". He can hit such incredible notes... Freddie Mercury-esque, Jeff buckley-esque.

Interesting that the two comparisons are to Rob Halford and Freddie Mercury ...

I can't wait to hear him when his testicles finally descend.

I was on the fence with this guy, but I must admit his range is impressive. He is the first person in AI's 7 or 8 years to ever try to sing like this. He is making the rest of the singer seem mundane by comparison.
The cover was good. Hinder does a kick-ass version of Born To Be Wild too. Check it out.

Gerry G, most weeks I really like Allyson too .. I thought she was rather woeful last night .. But she is pretty rock n roll .. she did a great Heart song in the beginning of the comp.

He definatly needs to find himself an awsome band. He could have a good solo career after that but to start out he needs a band or nothing is gonna happen. He should have won and hes nothing like emo. not with some of the stuff that hes sang and worn. He rocks and i will never forgive america for choosing kris alen over him. I rest my case. america has no taste. If your not a hick/ditz from the south or a gang banger you might as well forget about ever being popular here these days.
