Adam Lambert Does 'Feeling Good'

[Breaking: Ryan Seacrest Twittered that next week is, in fact, rock week. Bring on the Glam!]
As promised, here's a video of Adam Lambert's performance on American Idol tonight. Better watch it before Fox forces YouTube to pull it down. It was, as usual, amazing.

In stead of hand-me-down seventies tunes from my buddy's older brother, "Appetite for Destruction" gave me, a high school kid in the eighties, my own Led Zeppelin. GNR freed me and my friends from having to live in the past, as our era now had a soundtrack that drowned out the lame top 40 shit we previously had to suffer through to get laid. I am eternally grateful for that.
Today I read that you will be appearing on American idol.
Initially, i didn't give it much thought. But as the news sinks in, I somehow can't help feeling more and more upset. As if my high school sweetheart is blowing some rich kid frat boy. I am a pretty tolerant guy, but when Simon Cowell is smiling at me as the love of my life tosses his salad, my serenity is compromised .
GNR didn't sound like anyone else when it came out, and became huge by pretty much ignoring advise from "respected A&R type folk". It also didn't happen overnight, contrary to popular belief.
Why lend your name and legacy to a show that show that takes raw talent, and does everything it can to make it generic, and short lived? Polished enough to spend just enough time in the charts to make a quick profit for the exact assholes that used to walk out of a GNR rehearsal.
I am a mediocre musician myself, with marginal achievements, and can't put myself in the shoes of a legend like yourself. In stead I'll use other legends for example: Meryl Streep wouldn't get bukkake'd on bang bros, Lemmy doesn't do a reality TV, and Jimmy Page doesn't go dancing with the stars.
You earned the right to do whatever you want, and me being a fan does not entitle me to judge your decision. That is why I am BEGGING you to reconsider.
If the legacy of your old band means anything to you, tell Simon Cowell and co to fuck off, just as KEIF, or Joe Perry would. You are Slash, guitarist for LEGENDARY Guns n' Roses. Why settle for becoming "that guitar dude from American Idol?".
With respect,
Boris, Noise Within
