Got a Question for Joe Elliott of Def Leppard?

If you've ever wanted to interview Def Leppard - read on.

Noisecreep is interviewing Def Leppard front man Joe Elliott next week - and your help is needed. Dearest Bring Back Glam! readers, here's all you need to do:

To submit a question to Joe, just leave it in the comment section. I'll give you until Sunday at 11:59pm ET to leave questions and then the comments will be closed. Do not email me questions! I'll choose the best of the bunch for the interview (I cannot guarantee Joe will answer your question or even how many BBG! questions will make the final cut – but it’s definitely worth a shot!) The interview will be in video format. I'll alert you when the clip is ready via Noisecreep.

So, what do you want to know? Why Def Leppard is *really* touring with Poison this summer? What Joe thought while performing during the Country Music Television Awards? The sky is the limit and ask away - but please - keep it real.

I'd ask, now that metal is becoming popular again, if they will embrace the 'metal' tag like they did in the early to mid 80s.

If I was able to interview them in person, I'd say to thank Phil for throwing a pick right at me at the end of the Adelaide show, even if the scumbag security gave it to someone else

I'd ask if Def Leppard will continue to release albums, but every tour, the songs from the last album are dropped and never heard from again. If they do that, why release albums at all, they're saying they know that most people are not buying them, or not liking them as much as the old stuff

Music Maniac - why would you ask Joe Elliot that ?

I'd like to know if they'd follow the lead of others (Aerosmith, Motley Crue, etc) and do a tour where they'd play one of their albums start to finish. And, if so, which album would be the most fun to do and which would be the most difficult?

I'd ask if he's ever in touch with Pete Willis or Tony Kenning (original drums) and if he felt that their music changed with the death of Steve Clark.
As a follow up I'd ask if he still feels that Def Leppard is still on the "A" list since they haven't come close to touching the album sales they once had.

Really, what do you ask......the same boring industry questions? why do you not embrace your 80s era, why all the bashing in the press last summer b/w you and poison and now you are touring together blah blah blah.....
Personally, I'd like to THANK THIS BAND for continuing to make new music. Say what you want, like it or not, I love the fact that they keep it going. Bret may have bagged on them for lip syncing on some awards show (oh, the irony), but when was the last time Poison put out a new record? Yeah, Def Leppard still continues to put the new music out there, despite commercial success or not. I loved Slang, I loved X, Promises is one of my all time faves, I thought the covers record was great,I love the collaboration with Tim McGraw! Yes, they continue to keep it real. NOW....why don't they change up their set lists and incorporate songs such as Me & MY Wine, Stagefright, Excitable, Lady Strange, etc...Hell, I'd even love to hear Breathe A Sigh off Slang. I know you can't please everyone but to hear some of the great songs from earlier years would make my world and i know other lep fans' world too. I'm excited about this tour! I just hope the set list isn't for the greatest hits fans and for their REAL fans! Ok, that's my rant for the day.

Do you feel you have turned your back on your past fans by adding a country flare to your album?
June 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJB
do you feel the need to get vocal lessons so you can actually sing again?
June 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterlajustice77
Okay I have two questions,

1. Would you ever be up for putting out a Guitar Hero - Def Leppard, as other bands have done?

2. After 32 years of Def Leppard do you see a retirement from the music buisness in the future?

How do you feel about people who imposter you and the guys on such sites as MySpace, Bebo, and in chat rooms like MSN? I have the links, ask me.

Do you sometimes in secret put on that Union Jack t-shirt and dance around your bedroom, lipsynching to "Photograph"?

There's been rumors flying around that Def Leppard are going to release their Download appearance on DVD. Is this true? If so, any idea when we can expect that? And, THANK YOU for continuing to release new and exciting music despite the bashing from the media and so-called fans! Us true-blue, die-hard "from the beginning" fans are still behind you 100%.

Actually, I'd ask if they have another record deal ( wasn't the last album the last one on their deal from the 80s ? )
June 19, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChristian
I'll second the Mutt Lange question.

How come in Newcastle last year you snobbed the group of like 5 fans waiting outside the hotel and didn't even acknowledge our existence when the other 4 members gladly did...are you a jerk like everyone says?!?!
June 27, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterGlenn Odin
Okay, that last question by Glenn was kind of mean . . .

My question is this: You stated that you intended to take next year off from touring and record an new album. I've been a fan for nearly 30 years, so I know that in Def Leppard time that means you may not tour for 2-3 years. I hope I am wrong, but when do you think you will be back on the road with another new album? I will see you in about 2 weeks in Wisconsin, but it's never too soon to start planning the next trip to see you.

Could someone please tell me what became of this event? Is there a link to go to?
July 19, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjane arend-denko
Can you explain how you screamed on albums like Pyromania, and Hysteria? Is there a certain technique
that you use or does your voice just come out like that on higher notes?
