List 'Em All Here!

I thought it would be a cool exercise for me to try and recall every concert - that is, to list every band I've seen live. This is going to be hard because I never keep ticket stubs and I've been going to shows for well more than a decade. Still, I'll attempt my list. I'm sure I'll come back and edit as I continue to remember more and more shows. I figure this exercise is bordering on anal retentive or obsessive compulsive or whatever the psychological buzzwords are of the day - but I don't care!

On top of this, I used to see a lot of punk bands, like Depression, STP, The Extremes, Vicious Circle and Gash. I also saw DRI on tour in Australia.

You broke out ROK into bands, but didn't list Stryper ? :P

Nice one Allyson! I actually have a list of all the shows I've been too since I saw my first show ever back in 1988 (Alice Cooper). Of the bands you listed I've seen sixteen of them.

WOW, I don't think I have the patience to go through my own list but it looks similar to our Glam Godesses! Music unites us all.

@Christian - I listed Stryper, lol. After all, I sat beside you, even if the band isn't my favorite.

I forget Sheryl Crow and John Mayer so I added them. I'm sure that's the first of many edits to come.

I used to keep track of my concert list and then lost track somewhere around 1999. Just last year I started putting my list back together and thank goodness I do keep all my concert tickets. They are basically in a fish bowl and overflowing out the bowl actually. I wish I was a scrapbooker, but I'm not. It's a very very very long list however! Makes my brain hurt to think about it. Maybe I should make this my project while I"m on the plane to Vegas next weekend (ha ha).

My first concert was Twisted Sister in 1984 on the "Stay Hungry" tour. Dokken and Y&T opened. I've been a concert junkie ever since. I've got tickets to see Nickelback this Friday then Ratt/Extreme 2 weeks later! This stuff is addicting!

Hey Allyson,
Checked out your list of concerts you've attended.
There's one glaring omission you simply must correct.
You MUST experience KISS live in concert. Even at this late stage in their career, all others fail to compare. It's a show that just can't be beat.

Catching the New York Dolls would be a good idea, too.As for my list. It goes back to 1975, so it'd be too long!

Keep Glam alive!

Hey Ace. KISS is one of the bands left on my list to see before I die.

Ace,

My 1st cancert Was Kiss back in 1976 at The Philly Civic Center. I was 13 at the time, and was completely blown away.Pretty much led to a life of loving/loving music and guitar playing.I've seen way too many concerts to list since then, and destroyed quite a few brain cells in the process! And Ally, I actually think you've possibly been to more than I have. That's a pretty wicked list!

This is a great topic! I've been going to concerts since KISS with WASP back in 1986, and my complete list would also be ridiculously long. It includes numerous Ozzfests, Lollapaloozas, the past two Woodstocks, the fist two Rocklahomas, and even Elton John & Billy Joel. I've seen Metallica 16 times, and more recently I've seen Sevendust 14 times. All good memories.
