Nothin' to Lose

I haven't mentioned Arcade since January of 2007. Last night, one of my Facebook friends posted an Arcade clip on my wall. This friend is sort of obsessed with Stephen Pearcy. (Yes, that Pearcy!) For what it's worth, Arcade is an awesome band and the song "Nothin' to Lose" rules.

As you probably already know, Pearcy formed Arcade after he left RATT in the early nineties. (The band also featured Cinderella drummer Fred Coury). Now, I'm glad Pearcy got back with RATT and I'm excited for the new album, too! Still, Pearcy's time with Arcade shouldn't be completely ignored. These are good tunes and the band did a few albums. You can buy some of the songs on iTunes and I'd imagine original run CDs go for a bomb on eBay.

Arcade's official fourth album was actually released in 2006 and titled Calm After the Storm.

Are there any Arcade fans in the house? Did you ever catch the band live?

YES! I saw Arcade open for Bon Jovi in 1992. It was a surprise for me because I had no idea who was opening. When I saw Stephen Pearcy on stage, I almost had a heart attack. :) They were fantastic and I was hooked on them from that point on.

Never caught them live, but certainly made the transition over the Arcade after Stephen left RATT. I'm glad he's back to, but there should be some recognition of his work in Arcade.

That wouldn't be my boy Mark would it? C'mon Yes! Very jealous of christine sixx right now. '92 opening up for Jovi (WOW). Pearcy and Coury, you can't go wrong. Great Band! Nice way to start off my Friday Ally! Thanks.

Wikipedia tells me that their guitarist was formerly of Sea Hags. There's a band that needs a devoted post!

I saw them live in a club in Iowa of all places shortly after the first album was released. Fucking awesome band. The album was very good and the band was tight and rocked hard. Very underated first album.
