John Corabi, Michael Schenker Group Added to Rock n' America
Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 12:02AM
You might recall I posted reading that Michael Schenker would be at Rock n' America. Now, it seems that is confirmed since it is on the festival's website. I love John Corabi and I really want to see MSG live for the first time, so I am completely stoked. By my counting, there are still several bands left to be added - something like 10 or 12 even, so we could get some good ones.
Rock n' America tickets are on sale now, with VIP available. Ticket prices go up soon, so I guess if you're planning on attending, you might as well grab some now. People keep emailing me, asking when the entire lineup will be released. I don't know the magic date, but I hope soon!
Who would you like added to the bill?

However Corabi is a killer singer and an interesting choice for Schenker to be his lead vocalist, as long as MSG doesn't suck live, as Nikke Sixx says they did in Helsinki.
If Schenker is "on", he will be incredible, as he's one of the greatest guitarists out there.
And, let's not forget, this sets up a possible real moment in Rock and Roll History if Michael Joins Rudolf on stage with the Scorpions, as they have billed this tour as their last.
It would be awesome to see both Schenkers on stage, along with Mathais, not only for history's sake, not only for the pleasure of seeing and hearing the two brothers together again, but also for the wonderful opportunity to see three killer guitarists on stage simultaneously crankin' up some awesome tunes!
p.s. Hey, KixRules... Don't forget!... Kix Rules! And we're gonna witness that at M3! And not only do we catch the Scorps one last time, we still got Cinderella, too! You're goin', right?
Pissed about Baz...but hope it turns out good....gonna be a great summer!!!
Will, or anybody checkin', do you know who Schenker's lead singer will be. Suppose I can Google and I will, just wondered...
Corabi's an overlooked living legend if there ever was one. That album "The Scream" by his group, The Scream, just Screams!
Speakin' of "Screams", we'll be doin' plenty of that at M3, for real, KixRules!
I am curious, though, why do you consider this L.A. Guns as the REAL L.A. Guns when Tracii Guns is the show as far as that band is concerned (saw 'em 5 frickin' times point blank, bro, all back in the day, granted, but Guns is a madman on that frickin' geetar!).
And I agree with Mick. It would be killer to see some of the newer bands like Dirty Penny (and Vains of Jenna, Crash Diet, Dynazty, Miss Crazy, Reckless Love, etc., for that matter) on either or both of these bills.
We gotta Bring Back Glam!
I'll see y'all at M3!
p.s. And, I wish, RNA, too! Just don't know if I'll have the bread for that in time, shuxx!!!
I just think Phil Lewis and Steve Riley is the real LA Guns...the crap that Tracii has on the mic over the past 4-5 years in unreal and if you listen to Phil and Steve's band...it SOUNDS like LA Guns. Yes Tracii can whale on the guitar but Jizzy, while a good singer is not Phil Lewis and does not sound anything like him. If i want to hear LA Guns, i am going to listen to Phils band...you put Traci's makeshift band out there and you would have no idea who it is!
Sure did miss a lot of notes, too, bro. I know he's the voice we're used to hearing when it comes to L.A. Guns but I gotta listen and compare first.
The more I think about it, Tracii Guns just might be the biggest overlooked Guitar Super Hero in Glam Metal ever.
p.s. I suppose I could hunt and peck around the web to find out the dirt, but maybe you or someone can nutshell the story (ha, I should practice what I preach, right?!) as to what happened to these guys for me, as I know if it's coming from someone commenting on this site, chances are it's gonna be pretty accurate and well informed.
