ONE WEEK TILL I ROCK AMERICA, YET AGAIN! ha ha! Details are starting to unveil about the after parties and I'm hearing there will up to four parties each night. Is it just me or does all this extra "fluff" seem too much? I know it'll be a blast! Maybe a lil Rocklahoma meets Rock the Bayou all wrapped in one!

I have no opinion really on The Sweet being added, however I'm very excited about the RJD Tribute! VERY VERY EXCITED!!!!

Ally, my partner in Glam, you packed yet?? See ya in a week!

awesome!!! they were one of the architects of power pop, and their influence is everywhere! have fun at the show!!!!! I know there are two versions of them out there, one by Steve Priest and one by Andy Scott, the two surviving members....and they don't like eachother, not so sweet : - )

Huh-uh-lo-oh!

Sweet were more than just architects of Power Pop. They were the most Hard Rock of all of the Glam Rock bands out in the 70's, which means they helped lay some of the groundwork for a lot of the Glam Metal acts of the 80's, quite a few of which covered many of the Sweet songs we so love endlessly, like...

Def Leppard -- "Action"
Steve Stevens & The Atomic Playboys -- "Action"
Krokus -- "Ballroom Blitz"
Ace Frehley -- "Fox On The Run"
Mad Max -- "Fox On The Run"
Girlschool -- "Fox On The Run"
Joker -- "Little Willy"

Hey, check out the Metallic guitar intro of "Love Is Like Oxygen"...

Sweet also put out two albums in the 80's (minus leader Brian Connelly who quit years before that), "Water's Edge" and "Identity Crisis".

And let me just tell you, Glametal Kidz, I am dying I cannot go to Rock'n'America!

I am so jealous!

Talk about 1 Stop Shoppin'! Can you believe that line-up. You could almost retire from concert going after this show. Notice I said "almost", hahaha!!! Too addicted to being in the moment with our music, I'm afraid.

Anyway, I was actually gonna try to pull it off at the last minute but I have to go to N.Y.C. on biz Friday and Saturday and then to L.A. for a big meeting early Monday morning.

Otherwise, I was even thinking of flying to Oklahoma for the weekend from either L.A. or NYC! Dammit! Oh well, duty calls! Hey, maybe I'll get lucky and catch someone on the strip, but unlikely. Coulda back in the day, tho, easily!

Have fun at R'n'R all you Bringbackglammerz!

Dratz! Oh, the jealousy is killin' me!

That's going to be a great few days of music. I just wish they had something like this closer to Ohio. I see Motochrist is playing a set. That should be pretty cool. Always loved that band. Hopefully it cools down out there for next weekend. I think it's been 100 degrees there.
