Journey Listening Party

Journey's Greatest Hits Volume Two is out now and my friends at AOL Music are hosting a listening party of the CD. 

 You can listen to the album - legally and free - here. And if you collect vinyl, well, the band will release a double 180-gram virgin vinyl edition of the original greatest hits as well.  

Journey will receive the “Legend of Live” award at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards, which are presented by Showclix. Journey will receive the award on November 10 in New York City. The awards are part of the Billboard Touring Conference.

Hearing "Feeling That Way" takes me back to the old Leona Theater in Pittsburgh when I saw Journey for the first time with Steve. Many, many moons ago...the first part was the Journey that we knew with Schon and Rollie and then BOOM! From behind the drum riser...Steve Perry singing, "When the summer's gone/ She'll be there standing by the light/ Once she's been to where she's gone to/ She should know wrong from right..." and the rest as they say was history. The band took on a whole new vibe and suddenly there would be HOT girls in the audience instead of just us denimed, pot smoking, Santana fans LMAO.
My first date with my wife was supposed to be Journey on the "Escape" tour. I hadn't broken up her current status of taken yet and her boyfriend through a shit fit. By the time Foreigner rolled through town...mission accomplished. So to all the faceless corporate bands of the 70's...I have a soft spot in my heart for hahahahahaha Here we are some 30+ years together and "still we ride"!

Deen is such a talent. Not only did he fill the void of Steve Smith, but has added such a unique feel to the band. LOVE IT!
