James Durbin 'Love Me Bad'

James Durbin has released a single from his forthcoming album Memories of a Beautiful Disaster. The single is called "Love Me Bad." It is "radio-ready commercial" but I like it - a lot. I can see this song being a hit for James. I wonder if we'll be seeing him at any summer festivals this year? Rock on the Range maybe? Hmm.

Memories of a Beautiful Disaster comes out November 21.

Definitely not what I expected from Wind-up, I mean it's a rock label that targets rock radio. I didn't like the song much at first but it's grown on me. This song ain't epic but it's got a nice chilled 80s sound to it, James sounds great but where's the Durbin wail? Still it's a helluva lot better than anything the other S10 alum have released up till now, but I think so far Stand Up is the better song. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album, there'll definitely be much heavier tunes than this one.

Hmm. yeah its like Daughtry light too me. Again It is for "rock radio" (if you can call it that still) The guitars need to be higher in the mix.

I really liked him on the show, and Durbin is probably the first "Idol" that I had some interest in actually buying there CD, but that song is gay. For him being a "rock guy" this song is lighter than Daughtry or even Adam Lambert. As usual I'm sure some aging hippy or hipster in a suit decided to release this disposable dreck as a first single.
