'If You Really Really Love Me'

Steel Panther has a new single. The song, "If You Really Really Love Me" will be the first single from the band's upcoming album Ball's Out. That album hits stores October 18.

Now, I actually honestly enjoy "If You Really Really Love Me." I listened once and laughed. Then I listened again and realized the song is basically a Def Leppard tune. Considering Def Leppard is one of my top five bands of all time, this is good news. Let me know your thoughts.

I heard it once, and was already singing along to it. Catchy tune. As soon as I heard the part after the introish part, I was thinking, Hm sounds a lot like Def Leppard. I like it.

As unabashedly inane as it is, there's no denying just how catchy this song actually is, all kidding aside.

Yeah, it's Def Leppardish, but the "Really, Really, Really, Really" part is all Steel Panther and one can't help but wonder, if the lyrics had been written a little more deadpan with the humor more subtle and between the lines, if this wouldn't have been a Top Ten hit in 1983.

It's that good -- Maybe their best song yet!

I love all things Steel Panther, including this song.

These guys are sooooo good. If they gave up the wanton and gratuitously sexual lyrics and tried to take themselves a little more seriously, there's no telling how good they could be. I reckon they're content with being the x-rated "weird al" of sleaze. Rock on.....

Hmmm, I guess I'm in the minority here. I didn't laugh at all until the "You're 19 and I'm 52" line toward the end, and I thought the song was just okay. maybe it'll grow on me.

I think it's great! Lyrically very inventive & very catchy. I was walking around singing it all yesterday. Couldn't get it out of my head.

Catchy and fun - a few times. I'm with Sleaze on trying some normal stuff. Metal version of Weird Al to some extent.

Am I the only one that doesn't love it? It's ok; but I agree; they're a heck of a lot of fun live but the parody schtick is getting old. Love to hear them actually try some straight-forward tunes.

Metalboy-I agree if this had been written as a straight power ballad in 1983 it would've fit right in.
