Jake E. Lee Is Back And Looking For A Vocalist
Are you a singer looking for a gig? Guitarist Jake E. Lee may want to hear from you.
Apparently Jake is in the process of recording a new record and he needs a singer to lay down tracks. The chosen singer will also tour the world with Jake during 2013. The singer must be able to perform some Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands songs.
Jake is also collaborating with some famous musicians for his new record including Robin Zander and Paul Di'Anno.
If you want to give it a shot, send an email to Ronnie@HideoutLV.com containing an MP3 or a link to an MP3 of yourself singing an Ozzy or Badlands song. You'll also need to submit a sample of you performing another song as well. If Jake likes what he hears, you'll be contacted.
I can't help but wonder if this means we'll be seeing Jake and his new lineup at M3 Rock Festival in May? We can only hope I guess. I'm glad he's back in action. It's been a very long time.

We'll see if this ever really materializes or not.
Rock-It's right -- get a beyond real unknown vocalist -- some kid no one's heard of who's a total mindblower... But make sure he's not a nerd like James Durbin, that guy who almost won American Idol as a Metal vocalist or that pro wrestler look-a-like dude, Ripper Owens, who bored everyone to tears during his stint with Priest while Halford was checked out.
And Bob makes a legit point about the longevity factor of a well seasoned veteran singer. There's been a longstanding rumor as to why Zep can't really do any sort of multi-date tour and that stems from concern over Plant's inability to sing consistently night after night. Similarly, as Bob points out, so, too, there is doubt whether Hughes, or anyone else who's considered Rock Singer Royalty, would be able to deliver.
There he was, right under our noses from one of Al's highly commented on recent posts! That's who Lee should get! Perfect match! And we even get a "Hooligan's Holiday" out of it! Yes!
Accept Corabi!
I sure hope Jake is pursuing singers and not just doing a cattle call.
Several times in the Ad Game when we would be making a commercial, I recall the director doing the perfunctory casting calls but always heading his bets with an actor he had in mind.
Jake should pursue Corabi! I wonder if they have any history?
I'm gonna suggest Corabi to Ronnie right now!
I recall the director "hedging", not "heading" his bets. Frickin' autocorrect!
I just Emailed Ronnie to recommend Corabi. Since they're all in L.A., they should at least have Corabi in for an audition.
