Ryan Adams Covers Dio

Ryan Adams recently performed a concert at the Walt Disney concert hall in Los Angeles. During the show he covered the Dio classic "Holy Diver." I'll admit I wasn't expecting much, but I was impressed. The cover is acoustic and Ryan does it justice. Watch.

He does an acoustic cover of Wasted Years (Iron Maiden) that's pretty cool too. Round & Round (Ratt) is another one.

He really is a talented dude. On the flipside, he can also be a tempermental tool at times which is a shame given how good he is.

I thought it was funny how the crowd started laughing because they thought it was a joke, then they shut up when they realized it was serious. Great version, did it real justice.
His band did a great version of "Down In A Hole" by Alice in Chains as well.

Regardless of what I think of his stuff, which isn't much, his broad taste in Rock should b commended.

It's cool he covers Dio, Maiden and Ratt, even if the results, no matter how well done, have some unintentional, or intentional (hard to say), comedic qualities.

What would really be cool to hear would be Warrant (original line-up) doing "Summer of '69" or Ratt doin' "Cuts Like A Knife".

Hahaha!!! Sam! Huh-uh-lo-oh! I really am fried! But WTH, I still would like to hear Metalized covers of Bryan's stuff.

Ryan is obviously the cooler of he cats. Still, tho, one can't help but snicker at his unplugging of these Metal classics.
