U.K. Version of Sonisphere Announced

This rules. The lineup for the U.K. version of Sonisphere was just announced and the headliners include KISS and Queen + Adam Lambert! I'd love to see Adam with Queen but unless the band brings the show to America, it won't be happening.

Here's a question though... why was Skid Row listed as the special guests with KISS at one point... and now they've been removed? Is something going on with Skid Row? Will Sebastian Bach be reuniting with the band? I find this all very odd... I guess time will tell.

In case you're lucky enough to be able to to attend, Sonisphere will go down in Knebworth July 6-8. Tickets go on sale Thursday.

Not that great a line-up in my opinion.
Kiss with Ace and Peter maybe, but this watered down version (albeit with better musicians) isn't "The Hottest Band in the World" by a mile.
There's not a single band on saturday I'd like to see, but sunday's pretty neat with Faith No More, Cypress Hill and Andrew WK.

Seriously, Snoot? Cypress Hill? UNROCK!

I would go for The Darkness, Wolfmother and Andrew W.K. but there's just not enuff bands on the roster to warrant (sic) flyin' over there.

What can I say Metalboy!, I'm a sucker for a couple of hip hop bands such as Cypress Hill, House of Pain and Beastie Boys.
That said, I'd rather see Rock City Angels, Babylon AD or Tora Tora on the bill instead of C H.

I'm with ya on The Beastie Boys...

AND Rock City Angels, Babylon A.D. and Tora Tora. I don't know if those latter three bands are even doing anything right now. I had the chance to see RCA in Ft. Lauderdale in 2010 when they did an ultra-short lived reunion tour to promote their latest CD, a collection of unreleased material, but ironically, the night they were playin' was the same night Shiprocked! was departing.

Believe me, I thought twice about jumpin' ship to catch 'em cuz I had a feeling I might not have the chance again. I wonder how much they would want to play a gig there again, since it's their hometown.

Anyway, I wish they'd add some of the Swedish contingent such as Reckless Love and Crash Diet to the roster at Sonisphere.

Saw this posted at Blabbermouth.net earlier today:

Metal heavyweights ROB ZOMBIE and MEGADETH have just announced a co-headlining tour guaranteed to raise the temperature on the planet. The trek, which marks the first time the two bands have toured together, kicks off Friday, May 11 in Holmdel, New JerseyJ and encompasses high-profile appearances at several rock festivals, including M3 Rock Festival, Rock On The Range and wraps Saturday, May 26 at Rocklahoma. ROB ZOMBIE will headline Rocklahoma, co-headline Rock On The Range (with INCUBUS), and will close all shows on the MEGADETH dates. A complete list of dates is below.

Not a good fit for M3.

Skid Row is working on a new album, supposedly with Solinger.

Jeff - That must be a different M3, as Maryland is not on the tour schedule.

Metalboy! I'm friends with RCA frontman Bobby Durango and he has said there will be a new album with RCA, but right now I know he's busy with his new band Mondophonics.
As for adding Swedish bands to Sonisphere why not Electric Boys or Bullet?

Yeah! Snoot! Wow, you're friends with Durango?! I worship that dude! What an original and the real deal, all the way! He should write a book about the whole G'n'R/Geffen thing RCA went through.

Do Mondophonics ever play around Florida? He should really keep both band's goin'. It's probably not easy but others manage to pull it off!

Anyway, RCA just reeked of authenticity whenever they came on Headbanger's back in the day. I can't believe I missed 'em back then! Maybe I'll get lucky next time!

I think this looks good. Sunday is awesome with Mastodon, Refused, and Faith No More.
Saturday-Ghost, Gojira, Katatonia and I could leave aftre The Darkness because with the two headliners I want to make sure I am nowhere near the venue so I can ensure that I will not hear them.
Friday is eh. I just saw KISS and while Within Temptation is good just not WOW.
Out of all the summer fest, I like this the best
