Rock Never Stops (Redux)!

Holy Glam! Check out this ad-mat. Rock Never Stops is apparently returning and will feature Dokken, Quiet Riot, Firehouse, Y&T, and Trixter! The tour dates/stops haven't been announced yet... the dates are coming soon. This is going to rock. I love traveling festivals!

Given the passionate posters on this site, I'd be curious to know if others were wondering: is the order on the ad the order of the show? I certainly hope not.

So I ask: what should the order be and why? My picks would be: Quiet Riot (after they are done setting up the seats), then Trixter, then Firehouse, then Dokken or Y&T (with Dokken likely to headline even if Y&T could run Don and Co. into the ground).

Priced right, this could be a great show for smaller venues and some decent sheds. It would have been even better if they could have somehow merged some of the Bulletboys tour acts and some of the Russell's Great White tour acts.

Either way, I would check this out. Dokken talks and tells stories more than he sings these days. But he has charisma and is more than aware of his deficits. And Meniketti is an under-rated guitarist and singer.

Thanks for the scoop, Allyson.

HIM. Was thinking same thing. Y&T needs to be higher on bill. Understand Dokken headline cuz of hits and such. Have not seen QR since Kevin passed. Kinda sad to. Nothin 'gainst new boys , just need Kevin there to be QR (for me)

Priced right I think its a fun party

Oh no. The three worst bands that I have seen at the various M3 shows have been Dokken (voice is shot,) Trixter, and Firehouse (which truly is the worst thing I have seen in over 1,000 shows.) I support the concept of this tour but definitely not this lineup which midwestern chili festivals would be embarrassed to present for free.

Nice bill in name only and I really could live without Trixter, to be honest. Even though I was impressed with their professionalism when I saw 'em at M3 two years ago, their songs are pretty boring. The only truly good thing they ever did was that cover of "Dirty Deeds" back in '96. Quiet Riot ain't Quiet Riot without DuBrow. Dokken ain't Dokken without George.

Too scabby!

Firehouse and Y&T are killer, tho. I will be seein' both for the first time (can ya believe it?) on The Monsters of Rock Cruise this weekend! Stoked!

Hey, who else is goin'? Let's meet up at The Sky Bar at Taime Downe's party up top.

Ok lineup... its like they are missing that one act that would draw. Not sure what it would be, but definitely not there.

Hahaha!!! Your Midwestern Chili Festival Observation and Thrashing of Firehouse are quite killarious. I agree with the former but I take issue with the latter a I actually like Firehouse (hahaha!!!) and heard they are fantastic live. I will give you my final verdict after seein' 'em for the first time this weekend!

Maybe it's just location, but here on the west coast, all of these bands play the same 450 person capacity nightclub, & none of them really fill it.
Maybe in the middle of the country they'll draw a little better, but even together I'm guessing that there's not a real strong ticket seller in the bunch.

If i'm not mistaken, Dokken, QR and Y&T only have 1 member in each band....and Trixter (4/4) and Firehouse (3/4) are pretty much whole. The "other tour" JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE, FASTER PUSSYCAT, BULLETBOYS, PRETTY BOY FLOYD and LILLIAN AXE only has 6 TOTAL members on the entire bill.

I don't have a point. Pumped for M3.

MB: I was never a big Firehouse fan, but they are great live. Many bands should take note. FH did what many of their contempories should have done- stayed focussed, stay rockin, and stayed true- then, they could have gotten a 'fletch endorsement' 20 years later, too. can't wait to meet you @ M3, but then again, I kinda feel like I already have.

having seen Firehouse about 6 times,,they are awesome live..They don't
''mail it in like alot of the other bands here do,

I'm going for sure. I have seen Dokken, Firehouse, Y&T, and Trixter in the last couple years and they were all great shows, and I don't even like Trixter. As for QR they are a snore-fest without Kevin and I would not be upset if they were traded out for another band.

I saw Y&T last year and they were awesome. Played 23 songs and were terrific. It was the 2nd show of the new bass player who did not miss a beat.
This tour does not interest me unless I get cheap tix.
Why is Metalboy not ranting on these bands? He complained about Whitesnake not having the 87 lineup, even though they did do two very good albums.
Here you have 5 bands and none have done anything worthwhile in a decade.

Firehouse, Warrant & Trixter have had this poster (link below) on there sites for over a week. Is there 2 different summer tours?

The Warrant/Trixter/Firehouse redo tour is a great idea. Forget doing albums from front to back, lets start doing tours that happened 20-30 years ago. Genius! i remember missing it when it came to Little Rock's Riverfront Amp. Was a huge fan of all 3 bands at that time but being only 12, didn't have much of a chance of making it.

If Dokken is the headliner, I am leaving just before they take the stage. Saw them a few years ago when they played in between Sebastian Bach and Poison...and they were simply awful. The only hope they have is if they open for Y&T.

Trixter was awesome at M3 a couple of years ago, and Firehouse should be pretty good too. I'm curious enough about Quiet Riot's new voice to check them out. And I would love to see Y&T live.

Dokken is the only real weak link here to me. That said, the other package that was announced (Bulletboys, FP, PBF, Lillian Axe) would be killer.

I agree with most that Dokken is not real without Lynch but having seen them recently they do put on a good show. I love Quiet Riot, the real Quiet Riot. Without Kevin this band still touring is nothing. I don't like to tell people to quit but they just arent the same and should not be playing anywhere. As for the rest, never seen Y+T, seen trixter and firehouse a million yrs ago. I would see this show if priced right.

i saw a fest a few years ago and would love to see the lineup of that for this.
Sin City All Stars, they played gnr songs
Steven PEarcey
La GUns
Firehouse

Like that line-up, Devin, but ya might as well make it Ratt instead of Pearcy. Firehouse was killariously perfect AND impressive on MORC (Monsters of Rock Cruise).
