Def Leppard and Poison Summer Tour

Drummer Rikki Rockett announced via Facebook a few hours ago that his band Poison will hit the road with Def Leppard this summer. Of course, there's been no official press release and thus no dates have been announced.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for this. I hope this tour hits Ohio - most specifically Riverbend in Cincinnati. I love seeing Poison there - that's always a fun summer memory for me.

To be a true package, this tour needs a solid third band, too. In a perfect world that would be Kix, but I highly doubt that will happen. I did hear Twisted Sister as the rumored opener... and that is cool too! What do you think?

We just had Poison and Def Leppard a couple of years ago, and neither has done anything to make me want to see them again since. Cheap Trick was with them last time around.

That said, if Twisted Sister is opening, I'll be there. If it's Ratt or Dokken, count me out. (Unless I score free tix somehow)

That's HUGE! I'm there if they play Baltimore or D.C. and/or Florida or Jones Beach!

I'm with JT on this. Just saw them a couple of years ago and have seen each of them a ton of times. I want something new. Like maybe Mr. Big and Europe. Or Iron Maiden and Dream Theatre (stupid me, missed them last time)

But Poison and Def Leppart??? Been there, done that.

Can someone please tell my why these bands don't take KIX out on the road with them as an opening act? The kill it and are not the expensive to book,

KIX didn't have the hits of Def Leppard or Poison, but they would blow both of them off the stage, which is probably why they wouldn't be offered an opening slot on this bill. It would be nice though.......
I would like to see Cinderella with RATT and KIX, that would be a show.

I can't wait to see the tour schedule so I can make plans to take my family. My wife has never seen Def Leppard and my daughter needs the music history lesson!

It's a matter of economics. As 3rd on the bill, & without label support, I don't think KIX would make enough per gig to pay for the diesel to run a tour bus. Sad, because they're a great live band, (& pretty much where Poison "borrowed" a lot of their original stage show from.) I for one, would rather see Twisted Sister on the bill. Or, for that matter, a Def Lep/Twisted Sister/Kix show. Poison's done the same show & set list for like, the last 10 years. Yawn.

Theres no way in hell Twisted Sister would sign on for this. This tour will be a big *yawn*. I'll ONLY go if I score free tix.

Kix would blow them ogg the stage. Still, I'm there if I got the bux.

Ogg? Hey, there's a Prog band name if I ever heard one. Of course, I meant "Off". Dangin' auto correct!
