Motley Crue in Las Vegas - Videos

Videos of Motley Crue's "Rock n' Roll Residency" in Las Vegas are popping up all over YouTube. The set list is general fare - everything you would expect. While the set list isn't impressive, the actual set itself looks pretty cool.

Check out Motley doing "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" - the entire band is suspended over the crowd!

I'm surprised that Kiss did not do Vegas first. The crue is a great fit for a gig like this. Loved the commercial last night. We are old, kixchix....but not too old to rock it til we drop

Nothing wrong with being old. I turn 43 in a couple months and I love it! Now, about the residency...Because I can't see, I only have the music to go on. As I said in an earlier thread about the Crue residency, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope for it because I knew they wouldn't take any chances with the set list. For an example of how a residency should be done, check out what the Allman Brothers have been doing at the Beacon Theater in NYC for about the past 20 years. Every March, they do 15 or so shows at the Beacon, and they constantly change up the set list every night -- bringing in special guests and performing those guests' songs with them.

I wouldn't expect Motley to be able to pull off that much variety because they've always been more about flash than musicianship, but they should at least take some chances by doing more of their own catalog.

that makes me older than those 2 people...anyway,...I am going to see the Crue next week in Vegas as they are playing 4 of the nights I am there,...the main event for me however will be the Darkness at HOB in Vegas on the Friday night...I am also thinking of going over to Hollywood for one night and may go to see Steel Panther but to be totally honest, that band still doesnt gel with me...and of course since in Vegas, gotta catch Sin City Sinners...this is without a doubt the most loaded up week for entertainment I have ever had in Vegas!

Hey, Toddwiggy, dunno how long you are gonna be in Vegas but Steel Panther's been playin' there like every other week for the last several years. Maybe you won't have to go to Hollywood to see 'em!

Wish I could make it out there to Vegas to catch ALL of these terrific Metal Bands!
