Geoff Tate Readies Solo Album and Tour
Los Angeles, CA (September 11, 2012) -- GEOFF TATE is one of the most acclaimed vocalists in the history of hard rock and heavy metal. As the frontman of Queensryche, he has sold over 20 million records and received four Grammy nominations. With an undeniable musical history including fourteen studio albums, GEOFF TATE will release his sophomore solo album on November 6, 2012 in North America.Appropriately titled KINGS & THIEVES, this will be TATE's first solo album in more than a decade and his debut release for InsideOut Music.
KINGS & THIEVES is a journey into the mind of one of rock's most dynamic vocalists. "My goal with this record was to make a solid rock album," says TATE. "I wanted it to be an album that I could play live that would be both satisfying and fun, because, as a singer, you need to create a show that has a lot of dynamics to it and takes people on a ride." See below for GEOFF TATE's current tour dates, including a 7-date Canadian run with metal legend Alice Cooper. More dates are constantly being added.
Fans and press alike have fallen in love with GEOFF TATE's expertly crafted lyrics, unique progressive style and breathtaking vocals. KINGS & THIEVES once again shows why TATE is one of the most influential forces in mainstream rock and metal.

Later, Metalgator
Yes, it's true... I admit... I practically live on this site... I really am waiting to wake up one morning, look in the mirror and see my avatar come to life -- chrome skin (think that chrome dude from Terminator II) with silver lame (pronounced "lamay", not lame like where the trolls would go with it -- never figured out how to get the accent on the "e" with these damn things!) unitard and steel mesh cape...
Okay that hasn't happened yet... And I do want you all to know, I do indeed have a life... In fact, I just saved an 8 week old kitten from certain death in my company's parking lot, not so much from getting run over... Believe it or not, there is a Metal Moral to this tail... er... tale... har,har... but because of starvation, so I name the cute lil' thing T.C. Skrappz cuz he's been surviving on scraps of road kill in the office park.
The T.C. Stands for "Top Cat". That was from the initialized rear door from the 60's Hanna Barbera animated series, "Top Cat". Only later did I realize that could also be a name for an 80's Hair Metal band.
Epilogue: I wound up giving the lil' monster to a loving 20-ish couple I know cuz I knew they would love the thing to near death as I've got more important things to do like fighting crimes against Glam Metal and stuff. Turns out, the girl takes the thing to the Vet and finds out it's a Baby Bobcat! See, Florida really is as wild as you think! It's wild, too, that this thing practically jumped right into my lap when I walked out of the building after work. Okay, I might have exaggerated a little on the whole bobcat thing, but Scrappz LOOKS like a Bobcat! And even better, now the thing is luvin' life cuz the guy is a waiter in a sushi restaurant. Now that's the kinda scraps I'm talkin' about!...
Oh, yeah... Back to Tate...
I was thinkin' the headline of Al's post should really read...
"Geoff Tate Readies COMEDY Album and Tour"
Thank you for the kind words!!!
However, I am not out of the water yet. I play the cards I have been dealt with and make the best of it everyday. I have Sarcoidosis. The doctors still do not know if this caused the stroke.

I have to get checked out every year at the Neurologist and have regular doctor appointments every three months.. Deb & I have been through way too much.
We lost our oldest son in a car accident, a few days before Christmas 2004. I am not looking for sympathy. This makes you stronger and more determined than ever.
- Tell your wife she is lucky to still have you are around and you are eternally exempt from any chore duties!
reply - I tried.. LOL!!!! Also selective hearing, and using the stroke when she reminds me to do something. I forgot.. Doesnt work anymore..

Music is what heals us, the soundtrack of our lives, allowing us to feel our emotions and you are fortunate you can express them yourself with your talents. I can't play a lick and can only appreciate what you do with every pluck of your pick.
Keep on Rockin', Brother.
And lo and behold, I clicked on that vid of you destroying that equipment at Guitar World in 2010. I especially like how you saved the best for last! Your performance there was so killer, they needed to mark up the price on it AFTER you played!
