The Pretty Reckless, 'Going To Hell'

The Pretty Reckless just released their video for Going to Hell from the album of the same name. If this is the future of hard rock, I have to say... I dig it. Do you?

Pretty Wreckless are all about Taylor Momson exposing her inner whore in a public environment. Without her collection of slutty outfits, they are as faceless as the other members of the band are in this video. Notice how far down in the mix they buried her "vocals". It's because she can't hold a tune. If you've see it live, you'd do what over half the audience & I did... Walked out.

I just googled Taylor Momson. I didn't know she was a TV star. I've never watched 'Gossip Girl' so her face/name didn't mean anything to me. Interested to learn half the audience walked out on her...

I like the Pretty Reckless regardless of Taylor and the TV show.

I like it. I'll be seeing them in Cincinnati in 2 weeks.

Maybe I'm showing my age, but this song sounds so digital I almost can't stand it. There is no uniformity of sound between the instruments at all; making it painfully obvious that this song was pieced together from digital tracks that likely weren't even recorded in the same building. The drums are clearly electronic triggers, and the bass sounds like it was run straight into a board. The song itself isn't that bad, (I kinda like the quieter bridge), but the production is so robotic that it almost completely kills my ability to keep listening.

Kenny, I'll be interested in your post-concert opinion. Please post back then. It's funny, I L.A. Steel Panther is supposed to be the "joke band", but they can really write & play, and draw sellout crowds weekly at the House Of Blues. Pretty Wreckless try to be an actual band, but come off as the punchline to a joke.

ace: SP are cabaret. PW "is" an actual band. and, the joke is on you...and has been for a while. right, MB?

Fletch.

I don't know about that. ONLY ONE of 'em actually sells a decent amount of records & concert tickets. I'm pretty sure it's not Pretty Reckless.

I like this AND I like The Pretty Reckless.

oh, ace...you silly little boy. are you saying that selling a lot of records equates to being a band? No. Selling a lot of records equates with a lot of things, but not necessarily being a band. I am certain that the blue man group sells a lot too, (sells out is more like it), but they cetainly are no band. C'mon ace, out of all the posters (not posiers) on here, I thought, at least, you would be able to keep it real. POP goes my glam bubble. feel the deflation....
