Sunset Strip Music Fest Dates, Headliner Announced

The Sunset Strip Music Festival is set for August 1-3. The fest will actually take place across many Sunset Strip clubs including the Roxy, Whisky A Go-Go, Viper Room and House of Blues.

Linkin Park will headline the festival and more bands will be announced soon and I'm sure some Glam acts will be on the bill.

Tickets for the SSMF 2013 street festival are on sale now. GA and VIP options available.

I agree with dj.
I don't believe they are headline worthy.
They are a decent band but not a band I think of when I think of the Sunset Strip.

dont get me wrong though, ive heard from many friends and some family that they are amazing live. id see em, just not as headliners on a fest like this.....

Yawn. Another reason to avoid the Sunset Strip area that weekend.

Linkin Park are nowhere near worthy of headline status.

Agree with all above!

Linkin Park?

As they say in NYC about somebody who totally S*CKS...

"Nevah hoid of 'em!"

p.s. Yet another example of promoters who are completely clueless. Thing is, Ace, who should they get to headline? They already had Crüe.

they could get posion to headline...or reunite the most amazing Faster Pussycat!!!!!! that would be killer. but linkin park does seem out of place kinda here.....with all due respect to them....

You are so right, DJ. Here ya got so many L.A. Bands that define The Sunset Strip still out there, sluggin' it out on the road -- RATT (back bigger and badder than ever with Croucier back in the fold), L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, TUFF (They were absolutely KILLER at M3 -- Sleeper of the Festival), Black n' Blue, Vixen... They can't pepper in these bands?... Bands that help make The Strip an institution?
