Is Motorhead Out Of Place Here?

Check out the lineup for Chicago's Riot Fest. Motorhead seems sort of shoved into the middle of this lineup, but maybe that's just me.

T.G.I.F. ya'll!

Decent line-up I must say! I'd check out Motörhead, Rancid, Blondie, Quicksand and Bob Mould for sure.

other than Motorhead there is a awful lot of crap on that line up.

Motorhead never fit in - thats the point.

That festival has many genres of music. Motorhead fits in fine.

Motorhead and Gwar, that would be killer!! the lineup is ok, considering the many different genres, but i HATE fall out boy and blink 182.

I love love love Motorhead! Saw them at the House of blues here in San Diego a few years ago, and they absolutely destroyed the place. they tour like crazy, put out a new album almost every two years like clockwork, and play their a**es off night after night. they'll eat Fallout boy for breakfast!

Great comments, all, particularly, Red6ixx.

At the bottom of the poster, it says "First Wave of Bands. More to be Announced". Well, why can't that be bands like Chicago's own Bad City? That's a REAL Rock and Roll band with a deal from Universal -- certainly legit cred to be on this bill.

And why not get Crash Diet and some of our other favorite bands on there? Look, I'm glad Motorhead's slated to play, no doubt, but once again, other than that, it just proves promoters today, generally speaking, know bupkis about what REAL Rock and Roll is!
