Lynam, 'Send You Back' -- New Song

Surprise! Lynam is releasing an EP called Bombshell on October 30. The first track released from the new effort is called "Send You Back." It sounds a little different from their other work. I'm on the fence about this one - I need to hear the other songs before I can make a judgement.

Sounds to me like they used Def Leppard's cover of David Essex's "Rock On" as the template for this knock off. I'm not really impressed.

Spot on, Ace, but the recipe includes a smattering of The Beatles' "Come Together", as well, all of which goes to prove that something attempting to sound different can actually winds up sounding derivative.

Look, I've met the lead singer several times on Monstwrs of Rock Cruise and he's nice and all but honestly, I'm not sure there's much going on up there intellectually, as nice and über talented as the guy, is and that's how you're going to wind up doing stuff like this. And also giving your band one of THE dumbest names in Rock & Roll History.

I will say this, though... He must be doing something right because that Adler album from a couple of years back royally kicked a*s!

Generic, soulless mechanical modern rock that screams of a deliberate attempt to make it on to soulless, generic modern rock radio. Music, ultimately, is a business, and this song is proof of that. I hope it gets them what they want, but I won't be listening -- not that they care of course.
