Hardcore Superstar, 'Off With Their Heads'

Hardcore Superstar has a new song out called "Off With Their Heads" and a few days ago, the band released a lyric video to support it. What do you think?

Wrong time for lyrics like that. They could sell that as a theme song for ISIS. Not good at all.
"can't win them over, so off with their heads'. Ummmmm no!

Yeah because that's all I think of when hearing the song is thinking about ISIS ?!?! Heck Marie Antoinette jokes are probably too soon also, but hey that 1790s France. I thought the song was actually good - great find.

Okay (1), the song is horrible, and (2), I kind of agree with the first post about the song title and lyrics.

The lyrics are banal and the music uninspired. Other than that it's fine.

OK, now off topic alert:

I have not dug through all of the archives on this site, but if you're looking for current bands to "bring back glam" I would suggest Koritni and Million Dollar Reload. One from Australia, one from Ireland. Both have new records coming out soon.

I guess when I think about Glam and bands like HCSS I think of world politics. Whatever. Who cares what the "meaning" of the song is. So the bands politics aren't the same as yours...if that's what you read into it. The lyrics are a bit silly but English isn't their first language (I'm guessing). Either way the melody line is strong and he's a better singer than I previously gave him credit for.

Okay... "Off With Their Heads", in case you didn't know, is an expression for knocking someone off, in this case, in the context of organized crime.

And the song is frickin' awesome!

p.s. Speaking of awesome, I'm with ya on Koritni and Million Dollar Reload... I think Allyson did posts on 'em... also, depending on a recent purchase, iTunes will feature their stuff... Here's what I got on my iTunes, having bought them years ago... "Money Talks, It Says Goodbye", "Party's Over" and "Roll the Dice"! Rock On!!!

p.s.2: Cheap Seats... I've also got 16 tracks from Million Dollar Reload... "Goodnight New York" and "Tattoos and Dirty Girls" from the album, "Anthems of a Degeneration" plus "Fight the complete album, "A Sinner's Saint". Both Million Dollar Reload and Koritni frickin' Rock... Almost as good as Hardcore Superstar!

Metalboy:

Both Koritni and Million Dollar Reload have new singles out right now in advance of their upcoming records. Just letting you know.

These guys are one of my favorite bands. I am not big on this song though, it does not grab me like a lot of songs do. Even if this is about ISIS, who cares?? First of all it's not, second of all, political/religious views and music cross all the time, whether you like it or not, it can still be a bad ass song. Take Dead Skin Mask by Slayer for example, it's about Ed Gein, a serial killer, its an amazing song, but nobody is really condoning murder.

Took me a few spins but this song flat out rocks! New CD is wicked good. HCSS can do no wrong. Check out "Growing Old" for the perfect definition of modern sleaze at its finest!
